Introduction
The Textile Youth Club (TYC) is a student-led, non-political platform under the Department of Clothing and Textile, dedicated to inspiring innovation, leadership, and social responsibility among students. It creates opportunities for skill development, industry exposure, sustainability advocacy, and creative expression—empowering youth to become future leaders in the textile and fashion sector.
Our Vision
To empower textile students with knowledge, creativity, and leadership skills, making them pioneers in sustainable innovation and impactful contributions to the global textile industry.
Our Mission
- Foster an active community for collaborative learning, creativity, and innovation.
- Organize practical training, workshops, and seminars to enhance industry-ready skills.
- Promote awareness on sustainability, women’s empowerment, and ethical fashion.
- Connect students with professionals and alumni to strengthen mentorship and networking.
Objectives
- To spread awareness and knowledge related to the textile and apparel industry
- To organize workshops, seminars, fashion shows, and technical sessions for students
- To arrange training programs and soft skill development events for skill enhancement
- To establish connections with industry professionals and arrange industry visits for students
- To promote awareness of eco-friendly and sustainable technologies
- To engage in voluntary, social, and cultural activities
- To cultivate student leadership and encourage teamwork
Club Constitution
1. Name: The club shall be known as Textile Youth Club (TYC).
2. Affiliation: The club functions under the guidance of the Clothing & Textile Department, Govt. College Of Applied Human Science.
3. Membership:
- Open to all current students of the department.
- Requires registration and a one-time annual membership fee.
4. Executive Committee:

- Fara Diba — General Secretary
- Rijwana Khan Ridula — Event Planner
- Taeba Sultana — Event Planner

- Mahfuza Rahat Shoshee — Club Co-ordinator
- Jannatin Tajremin — Event Co-ordinator
- Nusrat Jahan Nishat — Assistant Club Co-ordinator & Treasurer
- Priyanti Barua — Moderator
5. Advisors: At least one faculty member will act as Club Advisor to provide supervision and support.
6. Meetings:
- Monthly general meetings.
- Executive committee meetings as needed.
7. Finances:
- The club is funded solely through membership fees collected from members.
- The membership fee amount is determined at the beginning of each session by the Executive Committee with advisor approval.
- All funds must be used for club activities and managed transparently by the Treasurer.
8. Amendments: Any amendment to this constitution requires a proposal during a general meeting and approval by two-thirds of the members present.
